The Season of Death Awakening update focuses on fixing several problems that could disrupt seasonal gameplay in Diablo 4. Players pursuing Diablo 4 Items can now benefit from more reliable objective tracking, improved access to an ongoing Echo of Mephisto encounter, corrected Infernal Hordes teleportation, and cleaner Corrupted Reaper summons. Several class-specific visual issues have also been resolved.

More Reliable Set Fire to the Beacons Progress

The Season Rank III Set Fire to the Beacons objective has received an important clarification through its tracking fix. Escalation Nightmare Dungeons with the Ruptures affix now count toward the objective.

This is useful for players who already spend time in Escalation Nightmare Dungeons. Rather than having to separate dungeon progression from seasonal objectives, players can now combine the two when they encounter the qualifying affix.

The change also makes planning easier. Players working toward Season Rank III can look for Escalation Nightmare Dungeons with Ruptures and incorporate them into their normal progression route. That creates a more efficient approach to seasonal objectives without requiring unnecessary repetition.

Easier Access to Echo of Mephisto

Multiplayer boss encounters are another area receiving attention. Players who join an active Echo of Mephisto fight can now use a portal to reach the third stage of the encounter.

This change is helpful when party members join at different times. A player who arrives after the fight has already progressed should no longer be left without a practical way to catch up to the active stage.

For organized groups, this provides additional flexibility. Players can coordinate their schedules without worrying as much about everyone entering the encounter simultaneously. The portal gives late arrivals a clear route to the current phase.

Infernal Hordes Teleportation Correction

The War Plans teleport to Infernal Hordes has been fixed for situations occurring on difficulties below Torment. The previous failure could interrupt progression and force players to spend additional time reaching the intended activity.

Although this is a convenience fix, it can have a noticeable effect on repeated gameplay. Players who regularly move into Infernal Hordes want the transition to be predictable. A teleport that fails unexpectedly can disrupt a farming routine, especially when the same activity is being repeated throughout a session.

The correction should make War Plans more dependable for players progressing through the lower difficulty tiers.

A Cleaner Corrupted Reaper Encounter

The Corrupted Reaper has also received a small but useful cleanup. When the boss is summoned again, the corpse left by the previous Reaper is now removed.

This makes repeated summons visually cleaner and reduces unnecessary objects remaining in the encounter area. While the change does not directly affect character power, a clearer battlefield can make it easier to focus on active enemies and abilities.

It is another example of the update addressing small issues that can accumulate during regular play.

Class-Specific Visual Improvements

Druids, Necromancers, and Warlocks all benefit from visual corrections. For Druids, Petrify could previously distort the Corrupted Reaper's wings. That interaction has now been fixed.

Necromancer Shadow skills could also cause the Corrupted Reaper to become hidden. Correcting this problem should make boss visibility more consistent when Shadow abilities are active.

Warlocks had an issue involving the Dark Prison Chain Aura Variant. The effect could make the Warlock appear transparent to other players. With the correction applied, teammates should have a clearer view of the character during multiplayer gameplay.

Better Quality of Life for Seasonal Players

The update's changes share a common purpose: removing unnecessary friction. Seasonal objectives can now recognize qualifying Escalation Nightmare Dungeon runs, party members can access the third stage of active Echo of Mephisto fights, and Infernal Hordes teleportation works correctly on pre-Torment difficulties.

For players interested in cheap d4 gear, these fixes are useful because a smoother progression loop makes it easier to focus on earning and improving equipment. Even small reductions in downtime can add up during a long seasonal grind.

When working toward better Diablo 4 Items, players can now approach these activities with fewer concerns about the specific issues addressed in the update. The changes may be mostly technical, but they help create a cleaner and more dependable seasonal experience.
