RA Power Solutions carries out Rebabbitting Bearing of Wartsila generator bearings and other industrial bearings. We received a request for emergency repair of a damaged bearing of a Wartsila generator from a Russian company from Yekaterinburg. The bearing was flown to our facility for inspection and repair.

The bearing had an inner diameter of 250.00 mm, a second inner diameter of 266.00 mm, an outer diameter of 507.00 mm and a total width of 263.00 mm. During pre-inspection, the bearing bore was cleaned from the damaged Babbitt white metal. The bearing was then shot blasted to clean it properly. Hardness testing and MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) was done to check crack. The results were found within the required limits.

We have completed the Rebabbitting Bearing of Wartsila with centrifugal Babbitt casting equipment at our site. The bearing bore was machined and held to customer’s drawing.
