Arc Raiders' new weapons are built to change how you approach a raid, not just expand the armory. The Stiletto favors controlled rifle play, the Bantam gives heavy ammo a sharp close-range option, and Amplified Weapons could make older guns feel fresh again. Before heading into Frozen Trail, it's worth checking your ARC Raiders Items and thinking about which role your loadout actually needs.
What New Weapons Are Coming to Arc Raiders?
Frozen Trail adds the Stiletto and Bantam, along with a fifth weapon quality level called Amplified Weapons. The update is scheduled for October 8, 2026, and also brings Pendola Pass, the Frigate encounter, three ARC enemy types, new traversal tools, and the Outpost.
That combination matters because the weapons aren't arriving in isolation. Pendola Pass is expected to mix open ground, narrow routes, vertical spaces, and areas connected to the fallen Emperor. A loadout that works in one part of the map may feel awkward once the fight moves indoors or turns into a scramble around cover.
Is the Stiletto Good for Early Raid Loadouts?
The Stiletto is a light-ammo battle rifle positioned as an early-game alternative to the Renegade. Its identity comes from control: it can fire quickly, but pushing the rate of fire too hard reduces precision.
That makes it a good fit for Raiders who like to hold a lane, watch a route, and place steady follow-up shots instead of spraying through every encounter. It should also help conserve resources without forcing you into a purely close-range kit, especially when Pendola Pass gives you room to work at medium distance.
The Stiletto may be less comfortable when a fight collapses inside a building or tight passage. Still, that weakness gives it a clear purpose. It rewards patience, clean aim, and knowing when to stop firing before recoil turns a manageable fight into wasted ammunition.
How Does the Bantam Work in Arc Raiders?
The Bantam is a heavy-ammo snub-nosed revolver with strong stopping power against ARC and rival Raiders. Its special hip-fire function separates it from a normal precision sidearm and gives it a more forceful close-range role.
That makes the Bantam appealing when you're opening a door, moving through the Frigate, or reacting to an enemy who has already closed the gap. Heavy ammunition should make every shot feel deliberate, so the weapon's real value will depend on how much control its hip-fire gives you and how quickly you can recover between shots.
I'd treat it as a confident secondary rather than something to fire constantly. The Bantam looks suited to players who can create a short opening, land meaningful hits, and then reposition. It may struggle as a general-purpose sidearm if its ammunition becomes too expensive during a long expedition.
What Do Amplified Weapons Change?
Amplified Weapons could have a bigger effect on Arc Raiders than either new gun. The fifth quality level applies to 15 weapons at launch and uses branching upgrades to alter how selected firearms behave.
The examples already show the range of the idea: a fully automatic Burletta, a scoped Renegade, and a Rattler with incendiary ammunition and a 64-round magazine. These aren't simple improvements to damage or standard performance. They change the job a weapon can perform in a loadout.
That creates better decisions than a single straight upgrade path. You might build around fighting ARC, preparing for player encounters, or supporting a movement-heavy style with the Grappling Hook, Tether Launcher, and Yank Grenade. The system will need sensible material costs, though, because expensive upgrades could discourage experimentation.
Which Weapon Fits the Frigate and Pendola Pass?
The Frigate should test the difference between these roles. The Stiletto may be more comfortable around exposed sections and longer sightlines, while the Bantam could gain value once fights move into internal passages and cramped rooms.
The Hydra adds another test because its three autonomous sections use different weapons. Against it, timing, cover, and quick repositioning may matter more than choosing the firearm with the highest basic output. New movement tools could create the openings that let each weapon perform at its best.
For now, the smart approach is to bring the Stiletto when you expect controlled distance, keep the Bantam for aggressive close-range responses, and test Amplified branches before committing rare materials. As Frozen Trail arrives, you can also compare your options and buy ARC Raiders Weapons that match the way you actually play.
