Recent KPSC records indicate that there were active recruitment activities linked to both KSEB and KSRTC as of 2026, highlighting the significance of these entities for aspiring candidates seeking Kerala Government Jobs and secure career prospects in the state.

Kerala has several employment opportunities in government-owned organisations, including the Kerala State Electricity Board and Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC). These are the places where candidates can get recruited to employment in technical and non-technical job positions and the Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) is also an important place in recruitment for some posts. Recent KPSC records indicate that there were active recruitment activities linked to both KSEB and KSRTC as of 2026, highlighting the significance of these entities for aspiring candidates seeking Kerala Government Jobs and secure career prospects in the state.

KSEB Technical Job Opportunities

KSEB provides technical job positions primarily to candidates who have undergone engineering and other technical training. Posts can be related to electrical engineering, civil engineering, operations, maintenance and other specialised functions.

The latest one is the recruitment of Assistant Engineer (Electrical) by KSEB. Assistant Engineer (Electrical) (KSEB) Advice dated 29th August 2026 as per KPSC's advice records for 2026. Earlier this April 2026, the KPSC had also issued an Assistant Engineer (Civil) – KSEB advice. From these records it is confirmed that the technical recruitment in KSEB is ongoing in the PSC system.

Candidates will need to be careful to differentiate between direct recruitment and recruitment by transfer. For instance, KPSC category No. 378/2025 was for the post of Assistant Engineer (Electrical) through transfer under KSEB's in-service quota of 10%. The notification indicated 21 job posts, salary range of ₹59,100 - ₹1,17,400, however, it was only for the eligible employees of KSEB and not for the fresh applicants.

So, it is essential to ensure that all KSEB Assistant Engineer notifications are not open to fresh candidates. Must be verified as to recruitment, qualification, experience and conditions of service in the particular notification.

KSEB Non-Technical Jobs

KSEB also takes part in common recruitment of administrative and clerical staff. An important latest notice is the Category No. 382/2025 which includes posts such as Junior Assistant, Cashier, Assistant Grade II, Clerk Grade I, Time Keeper Grade II, Senior Assistant, Assistant and Junior Clerk among others for various government companies and boards like KSEB.

The notice included the following details:

  • Method of selection: Direct recruitment.

  • Application method: Through One Time Registration of Kerala PSC.

  • Application Fee: Nil.

  • Vacancy: Projected rather than definite vacancies for each company.

The KPSC later went on to conduct the preliminary examination of Category No. 382/2025 in 2026. The examination schedule included a 100-mark OMR exam indicating common recruitment for various participating organizations.

KSRTC Technical Job Opportunities

The eligibility criteria of KSRTC can be related to transport, technical, or any other kind of function of workshops. Based on the notification, technical vacancies can have certain kinds of technical qualifications like ITI, diploma, or any other special technical qualification.

It is not advisable for the candidates to expect a technical vacancy in all recruitment notifications, because the recruitment of KSRTC comes based on vacancies and recruitment guidelines. Hence, it is very important for ITI, diploma, or engineering qualified candidates to keep an eye on the KSRTC notifications.

KSRTC Non-Technical Job Opportunities

There is also an alternative way to join KSRTC for those who have qualifications in administration other than technical qualifications. There is a KPSC Notification no. 383/2025 which has details of Junior Assistant, Assistant Grade II, LD Clerk, Clerk, Field Assistant, Depot Assistant, and similar other posts. KSRTC was among the organizations that were notified in this joint recruitment notification.

As per the notification, candidates should have a BA/BSc/BCom or equivalent qualification and age between 18-36 years with age relaxation for communities if eligible. The number of vacancies was stated to be expected and candidates could not choose a specific company, corporation or board in advance. Appointment would depend on vacancies reported by organizations participating in the process and reservation policy.

There is KPSC Exam 2026 program which has notification number 383/2025 for State Preliminary exam. This test is scheduled to be an OMR test having 100 marks.
