The have shut down any speculation surrounding wide receiver Nico Collins, making it clear they have no intention of moving one of their top offensive weapons. General manager Nick Caserio delivered a blunt and definitive me sage following Day 2 of the NFL Draft. Were not trading Nico Collins, Whoever reported it or whatever information that they had, they can shove it. Were not trading Nico. The strong response comes amid growing reports that multiple teams had reached out to the to inquire about Collins availability. Much of the speculation stemmed from his contract situation. Collins is set to earn over $20.8 million in 2026 after signing a three-year, $72 million extension in 2024, a deal that reflects his emergence as a premier receiving threat. Despite the Jaden Harrell Jersey financial commitment, Houston appears fully invested in Collins as a foundational piece of its offense. The Pro Bowl wideout has developed into a reliable target and a key contributor in the Texans pa sing game, offering a combination of size, physicality, and playmaking ability that is difficult to replace. Texans GM shuts down trade buzz From a roster-building standpoint, Caserios stance signals stability and confidence in the teams current core. Rather than entertaining trade offers for one of their top performers, the Texans are prioritizing continuity as they continue to build around their young offensive identity. Its not uncommon for high-performing players with sizable contracts to generate trade interest, especially during draft season when teams explore ways to reshape their rosters. However, Houstons front office has made it clear that Collins is not part of any such discu sions. For the Texans, keeping Collins ensures that their offense retains a proven weapon heading into the upcoming season. His presence not only supports the pa sing game but also helps maintain balance and consistency acro s the unit._ In shutting down the rumors so emphatically, Caserio has removed any doubt: Nico Collins remains a central figure in Houstons plans moving forward.
