Al Reem Island continues to attract new residential projects in Abu Dhabi. Its waterfront location and links to key business areas support its growing property market. MERED has added another development to the island with the launch of Riviera Residences 2.

The project will feature 404 homes, with a mix of apartments, villas and a penthouse. The collection includes 389 apartments, eight Bay Villas, six Sky Villas and one penthouse.

Swiss architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron designed the tower. Its design takes inspiration from the UAE's pearl-diving history. The outer façade also draws on the look of mother-of-pearl.

Green spaces form a key part of the project. The landscape plan includes around 300 trees and palms, over 7,000 sq. m. of planted areas and more than 60 plant varieties. These spaces will give residents more room to walk, relax and spend time outdoors.

The project will also offer over 65,000 sq. ft. of amenities. These include swimming pools, fitness areas, wellness facilities and sports spaces.

Construction is expected to start by the end of 2026. The planned completion date is Q2 2030.
